I am interested in the complexity of plant life, especially seeds and pollen. These tiny objects hold so much potential in their unassuming forms. The diverse ways that plants have evolved to ensure the continuation of their species is remarkable. These systems of propagation are nearly undetectable to the naked eye, yet when examined with macro and electron photography they show unexpectedly tactile surfaces and complex forms. By recreating these forms in fiber on much larger scale, I invite my audience to participate and interact with otherwise unseen systems.
